Frank Grafenstein founds the agency “Grafenstein Freizeit- und Tourismuswerbung GmbH”.


Grafenstein develops the first online tourism training course for the Malta Tourism Authority and with it reaches the finals of the European E-Learning Award “EuroLea”.


Since 2006, Grafenstein starts developing its own network of partners in important markets, including Brazil, China, the USA, France, Belgium, Poland, Portugal and Great Britain.


Grafenstein finishes third in the national finals of the Deutsche Post Mailshot Competition with its “Ireland Conference Tourism Mailshot”.


The commercial “The Welshman” is awarded a special prize at the international film competition for cities, regions and the tourism sector, “Das goldene Stadttor” (“The Golden City Gate”).


Grafenstein receives second place in the film and multimedia competition “Das Goldene Stadttor” in the category “Websites for the online promotion of the Flanders’ coastline”.


Grafenstein is honoured for the third time in the international tourism marketing competition “Das goldene Stadttor”. This year achieving third place in the category “Countries and Regions” for its website www.visitvalletta.de.
