The region of South West England has no representation on the German-speaking market. It was looking for an agent that could competently represent it in all matters and in consultation with the VisitBritain office in Berlin.
Grafenstein represents the region in both the German-speaking and Benelux markets. In addition, we have carried out a product-related lead generation campaign and created a database with the most important tour operators and their contact partners in the German-speaking and Benelux source markets. We also qualified the relevant contacts, the range of packages on offer and the business potential of the respective tour operator.
Furthermore, we actively presented South West England’s travel products to the organisers with the aim of persuading them to introduce new trips or enhance and extend existing ones with additional attractions. To this end, we organised a roadshow for the travel agents and product managers with training courses being held in Frankfurt, Munich and Cologne. The region and its tourist attractions were also featured in regular newsletters.
Grafenstein took over organisational tasks too, such as selecting which tour operators should be invited to fam trips in South West England. On the occasion of the ITB in Berlin, we took over the job of organising appointments for service providers and regional marketing organisations from the South-West England region.
